Lite Access wins $459,000 Fibre Optic Network Contract
Lite Access Technologies Inc. (CVE:LTE) said on Thursday it has been awarded a contract worth $459,000 for the supply and installation of a fibre optic network build for the Canadian City of New Westminster, B.C.
Using Lite Access’ proprietary microtrench and air-blown fibre optic technologies, this project will focus on providing and installing microduct and fibre optic cable for backbone connectivity.
Lite Access has been working with many communities and cities throughout North America, South America, as well as internationally, that are pro-actively building infrastructure to help offset the high cost of current service provider connectivity.
The company’s proprietary products and best-in-class microtrench installation methodologies have been used for many cities and municipalities in Western Canada, such as QNet in Coquitlam, B.C., the township of Langley, B.C., Delta, B.C., and communities throughout the East and West Kootenays, Banff, and Waterton, Alta.

Lite Access shares were up 1.4% at C$2.20 on Thursday.
