Micro-Drilling offers a non-invasive alternative to Micro/Narrow Trenching. Typically, small pits are dug to allow the drill to enter the ground below grade or at hand hole or vault. When the drill head is extracted, Micro-ducts are connected to a pulling sock and both are pulled back to place the Micro-duct. No additional material or duct is required. The process is repeated in the opposite direction to minimise the number of pits. Micro-ducts are connected within the vault and fibre can be blown into the entire length of the duct, when required, saving time and capital.
